BURSARY APPLICATION INFORMATION TO ATTEND THE 50th ANNUAL SCIENTIFIC MEETING OF THE AUSTRALASIAN DIVISION OF THE IAP

The Australasian Division of the International Academy of Pathology is looking to financially support a few anatomical pathologists/trainee pathologists from developing countries in our region who would not otherwise be able to attend this meeting.  The meeting will be held in Sydney from Friday 29th May to Sunday 31st May 2026 at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre, Queensland, Australia.

The sponsorship grant would include a single return economy airfare, accommodation organized by IAP, complimentary registration for the full course of the meeting, a ticket to the Welcome Cocktail Reception on Friday the 29th of May and a small cash allowance for expenses.

It is a requirement that if you accept the grant, you will need to attend all three days of the meeting and afterwards provide the executive committee with a short report outlining your assessment of its worth to you.

Only Applications from Trainees/Pathologists residing in the following Countries/Territories can apply for the grant.

Cook Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Fiji, French Polynesia, Kiribati, Nauru, New Caledonia, Niue, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Republic of Marshall Islands, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu, and Vanuatu.

All applications should be forwarded to info@iap-aus.org.au by October 31st, 2025 and should include a curriculum vitae.

Applications will be reviewed by the Executive of the Australasian Division of the IAP and a decision will be made regarding the successful applicants by end of November, 2025.

Applicants who have been offered any bursary/scholarships/grants by any division of the International Academy of Pathology (including USCAP) or by the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (RCPA) in the last 3 years are ineligible to apply.
