Professor Fausto J. Rodriguez

Dr. Fausto J. Rodriguez is currently professor,  chief of neuropathology and neuropathology fellowship director at David Geffen School of Medicine at University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). Dr. Rodriguez completed training in anatomic pathology and neuropathology at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN, followed by a neuro-oncology research fellowship under a T32 training grant. After serving as senior associate consultant for two years, he moved to Johns Hopkins, Baltimore, MD (2010-2021) where he practiced more recently as professor of pathology, oncology and ophthalmology and director of the surgical neuropathology service.

He is co-author of Neuropathology, Diagnostic Pathology Elsevier Textbook Series, now in its third edition. His clinical and research work aims to identify diagnostic, prognostic, and therapeutic biomarkers and targets in tumors of the central and peripheral nervous system, particularly those that develop in young patients and in the context of inherited tumor syndromes.

Dr S. Ming Chai

Dr Siaw Ming Chai completed her Medical degree and subsequent Masters of Medical Science in Pathology at the University of Western Australia. She commenced Anatomical Pathology training in 2004 at PathWest Laboratory Medicine, Princess Margaret Hospital and King Edward Memorial Hospital before obtaining her Fellowship from the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia in 2008. She completed a Cytopathology fellowship at PathWest Laboratory Medicine, QE2 Medical Centre in 2010 and as been a consultant Pathologist with PathWest since this time.

Her primary interests include Cytopathology, Thoracic Pathology, Endocrine Pathology, Gastrointestinal and Pancreaticobiliary Pathology. She has published peer-review manuscripts and co-authored book chapters in these areas of interest. She has been a Board of Education member and State Councillor for the Western Australian Branch of the Australian Society of Cytology. She is the current President of the Australasian Gastrointestinal Pathology Society and current Head of Cytology at PathWest Laboratory Medicine.
